PARIS, June 27 (Archyde.com) – Wall Street opened higher on Tuesday as investors shrugged off central bankers’ calls for tighter monetary policies. In early trading, the Dow Jones Index .DJI advanced 24.3 points, or 0.07%, to 33,739.0 points, the Standard & Poor’s 500 .SPX rose 0.20% to 4,337.4 points and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC gained 0.47%, or 52.75 points, to 13,398.6 points. The annual forum of the European Central Bank (ECB), which has brought together the world’s major financiers since Monday, was marked by the “hawkish” statements of the first responders. But the publication of an unexpected increase in new orders for capital goods in May in the United States helped to reassure market operators regarding the health of the American economy. On the stock side, electric truck maker Lordstown Motors RIDE.O fell nearly 50% following filing for bankruptcy protection on Tuesday and declaring for sale following a dispute over an investment promised by Foxconn.
