An American has been dubbed the planet’s ‘serial killer’ following flying 37 million miles on a lifetime ticket purchased in 1992 for US$290,000 (regarding CA$380,000).

Tom Stuker bought his lifetime ticket with United Airlines nearly 30 years ago and has traveled more miles than Apollo 11’s lunar journey, according to French broadcaster BFM Business.

He would thus live like a millionaire thanks to the loyalty advantages he accumulated during his many travels.

The 69-year-old American has visited more than a hundred countries. In 2019 alone, it made 373 flights and traveled 2.3 million kilometres. The boss of a car sales consulting firm says he steals between 200 and 250 days a year, according to BFM.

Without a lifetime ticket, Mr. Stuker would have had to shell out almost $2.44 million just for the year 2019.

The loyalty benefits he has accumulated also allow him to have discounts on stays, gift cards or simply bonuses with the airline.

United Arilines even threw him a party to celebrate his 20 million miles.
