For his part, Imam Dicko says he does not blame himself. The religious assures that he did not even try to understand why the document was withdrawn from him. Only the leaders will be able to justify their act, he says.
“If they do, they certainly have reasons,” he suggested.
“It’s authorities; (they) know why. If they do, they certainly have reasons, ”M Dicko said on Friday in front of his supporters who came to support him. The religious leader also invited the Malians to calm down.
“Things happen and it will pass. I advise everyone to know reason to keep. It’s between us. We are all brothers. We are in the same country. I believe there is no animosity. These are things that happen and it will pass,” he said.
Needless to recall that Imam Dicko is one of the voices criticizing the ruling junta. He recently opposed the draft Constitution which was finally adopted by referendum.
