OpenAI has announced plans to monetize its flagship chatbot ChatGPTIn February, following regarding two months of unlimited free use, users can still access the chatbot for free but those who pay a monthly subscription for “ChatGPT Plus” will be able to try out the updated version of ChatGPT powered by GPT-4.
Some variation of the ChatGPT subscription model has been in the works for a while. ChatGPT Plus costs regarding $20 per month, and here’s how the Plus version differs from the free version, according to Business Insider.

Registered users of the subscription model will have access to GPT-4, as ChatGPT Plus previously promised subscribers access to new features and improvements.
Among other updates, GPT-4 can process and understand image prompts and engage in longer conversations. OpenAI said the update is more reliable and more innovative than its popular predecessor, GPT-3.5. CEO Sam Altman said the updated chatbot was able to Pass the bar exam.
Arrival during peak times
ChatGPT’s huge popularity means that some users struggle to access the chatbot when the site is overloaded.
However, paying users will get “general access to ChatGPT, even at peak times,” it says OpenAI in a blog.

ChatGPT Plus promises a faster response time, as sometimes, the chatbot can get delayed with long requests and leave users waiting.
It’s still not clear how powerful the Plus version will be, but the company does offer faster response capabilities for users with time-sensitive tasks.
