From Friday June 2 to Sunday June 4, 2023, Provençal agriculture in all its forms was once once more in the spotlight at the 6th edition of the Salon des Agricultures de Provence.
In total, more than 65,000 visitors walked the aisles of the show during these 3 days, placed this year under the sign of innovation. More than 250 exhibitors from the region were present to welcome the public in a popular, family and festive atmosphere.
A farmers’ market, tastings of local products, farm animals, around sixty entertainment and fun activities spread throughout the show, a French championship for arborist-climbers… There were some, this year once more, for all tastes and all ages.
Workshops and pedagogy
The MSA Provence Azur, partner of the event, once once more took part in this great agricultural festival by offering numerous workshops and events on its stand.
On the program over the 3 days: a workshop on the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol and drugs; an educational workshop “Food balance” led by a nutritionist dietician; a workshop dedicated to building layout and design; MSA advisors to support members in their procedures and answer their questions; a tractor driving simulator; a culinary workshop for seniors…
A prize giving for the young people of the territory
On Friday, there was also a prize-giving ceremony as part of the Calls for Young Projects and the MSA MFR competition. On this occasion, 7 winners were awarded and received reward checks ranging from €500 to €3,500 to carry out their projects:
“Call for young projects” competition:
The Rousset MFR for their project “giving a second life to the can”
The Rousset MFR for their project “giving your candles a second life”
The Orgon rural family teen club for the creation of a play “We always sow”
Concours MSA MFR :
The MFR of Puyloubier for the organization of a market for local producers within the MFR
The MFR of Rhône Alpilles for the organization of an intergenerational fair “to commit to playing together with our differences and our fragilities”
The MFR La Roque d’Antheron: life lessons, listening to others “the citizens of tomorrow”
The MFR BEAUCHAMP d’Eyragues with the creation of a fruit hedge
Finally, to close the “Charter of solidarity with the elderly”, the social action department of the MSA had invited certain partners and the Mayors and elected officials of the municipalities of Alleins, Aureille, Aurons, Charleval, Lamanon, Mallemort, Sénas and Vernègues for a “pot” of friendship.
