Dacia is also supporting the UMTB World Series as a sponsor in 2023. The brand appears at the European events of the trail running series as the official technical and exclusive car partner. Dacia supports the running series launched last year with vehicles for logistics, among other things. The UMTB World Series includes 35 competitions on five continents. The best runners qualify for the Mont Blanc final from August 28 to September 3, which gives the championship its name: Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UMTB).
Depending on the event, participants compete in up to four categories: over 20 kilometers, 50 kilometers, 100 kilometers or 100 miles (161 kilometers). They have to climb up to 11,000 meters in altitude. The principle of “partial autonomy” applies to the runners, which means that they carry mandatory equipment with them and only receive support at official stations.
