Mazars, the international consulting and auditing group, now has its mark in Burkina Faso. On June 8, 2023, the Group held the official opening ceremony of the Mazars Burkina Faso Offices. It was under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy, Finance and Prospective, Aboubakar Nacanabo, and in front of a high-level audience from the world of finance and business, clients and partners and colleagues from ONECCA (National Order of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Accountants of Burkina Faso).
Through this imprint, Burkina Faso becomes the country number 100 covered by the Mazars Group which, following 75 years of existence, announced the change of its visual identity to respond to its desire to evolve in line with the new expectations of the Company. It is in its new finery that the vast majority of Burkinabè will discover one of the future giants of its sector: “Our brand is much more than a simple logo. It reflects who we are, what we do, how we act, help our customers, work together and serve the general interest. This is what makes us unique, ”explains the structure in a press release.

This singularity was explained to the audience by Taïbou Mbaye from the Dakar Office, the first African to be part of the Board of Directors of Mazars Monde: “We do not only want quality for our client, not only to understand him, we wants to share everything with him… We are in a logic of co-construction. And the culmination of the opening of the Ouaga Office is the translation into action of this co-construction approach: “A membership desired by customers and partners”. Mazars Burkina Faso is therefore the fruit of the membership or integration of ACS Burkina Faso. A process that took 10 years, according to Hamadé Ouédraogo, managing partner of the Ouaga Office, with the objective of “serving clients at the best of international standards by professionals from here, assisted by professionals from elsewhere.
Which makes Taibou Mbaye say that Mazars Burkina Faso is not a representative office, it acts on behalf of the network and its signature is international. It was an obstacle course which made it possible to implement “due diligence” to be able to support customers in their development. Burkina’s economy and some of its players are in regional and continental strategies and need high quality assistance in their development. All things confirmed by the CEO of Coris Holding, present in the room, who declared that the firm Mazars had accompanied his Group in its acquisitions in Mauritania and Chad.
A new adventure begins for the Burkina Faso team, with challenges to be met, those of specialization, with new constraints on the level of quality to continue to have the confidence of customers.
The official launch of Mazars Burkina Faso was followed by a panel on the issue of financing the economy in times of crisis”, moderated by the Deputy Managing Director of Coris Bank International, Soumaila Ouédraogo, founder of the firm CACS, who became ASC Burkina Faso, and Blanchard Yaméogo, Tax Inspector, representing the ministry in charge of finance, and Zana Koné, Managing Partner of Mazars Côte d’Ivoire. The impact of the crisis was discussed by the panelists, who nevertheless admitted that support for companies requires risk control, by investors, good financial information and rigorous governance on the part of companies.
