Rostov region, June 25, 2023. DON24.RU. Soldiers of the Chechen special forces of the Russian Guard are returning to the NVO zone from the Rostov region, where they were transferred to suppress the rebellion. This was reported to TASS by the commander of the Akhmat detachment Apty Alaudinov.
Information regarding the Chechen special forces was also confirmed by the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.
“In connection with the latest events, Chechen units were sent to Rostov-on-Don in order to take the situation under control if necessary. To solve this problem, detachments of the Akhmat special forces and the Sever-Akhmat regiment were involved, the head of Chechnya said.
According to him, the fighters promptly arrived at the scene and waited for the order to begin to carry out their tasks. Fortunately, the situation ended without a direct confrontation. Today, units began to return to their places of permanent deployment in the DPR.
The day before, there were reports that Chechen units did not enter Rostov until the end of the conflict – they were stuck in a huge traffic jam at the entrance to the city.
