A child and an adult died in the accident of an excavator in Toppenstedt (Lower Saxony, northern Germany), said a spokesman for the fire department. The accident happened during a camp that fathers organized with their young children. Ten children were injured, four of whom were seriously affected and were taken to hospital by helicopter.
During this excursion, some members of the group were able to board an excavator to take a trip on a dirt road, said the spokesperson.
