Adolis Garcia: A Breakout Star for the Texas Rangers with Record-Breaking RBIs

2023-05-15 07:00:00

Adolis Garcia has been the positive surprise of the year for the Texas Rangers, as his torrid offense has been on display this season. The 30-year-old has posted an RBI record through his first 40 games of 2023.

The Cuban already has 42 RBIs in 40 games. With this he joined Josh Hamilton in 2012 as the only Texas players to get 40 or more RBIs in as many games to start a season.

Garcia was already voted Player of the Week this season and everything indicates that he will be in the All-Star Game and that he will be a candidate for the American League MVP award.

The Cuban is playing his fifth season in the Major Leagues and fourth in a Texan uniform and is the American League leader in RBIs with 42, on course to surpass his personal best of 101 that he registered in 2022.

One thing that has improved markedly this year is his patience at the plate, which has lowered his strikeouts and increased his ability to be on the pads. The Rangers are extremely pleased with their performance this year.
