There are a few hours left until the final of the BetPlay 2023-I League that will be played between Millionaires and Nacional at 7 pm in El Campín State, this Saturday, June 24. And in the midst of the expectation for which team will obtain the much-desired star, the Bogotá Mayor’s Office is preparing a mega operation to provide logistics and security to the city.
As part of the measures, more than 1,300 police officers will be available inside and outside the stadium to guarantee safety and coexistence before, during and following the match. There will be Prohibition Law in the perimeter between Calles 45 and 68 and Carreras 50 and Avenida Caracas, which will begin on Saturday at noon until 6:00 am on Sunday, June 25. And the Transmilenio operation will be extended until 11:30 pm in order to guarantee a greater flow of transportation for fans and their families to their destinations.
Likewise, the Secretary of Government assured that ‘Verdolaga’ fans “cannot be in the security area”, that is, in the vicinity of the Stadium and if they do so “they will be removed from the area by the Bogotá Metropolitan Police”.
Nacional fans were not authorized to watch the final in Simón Bolívar Park, where can they be?
After the mayoress, Claudia López, complained to Win Sports, -owners of the broadcasting rights of this Colombian sport- for not having agreed to broadcast the signal to attendees who would watch the match for free in Simón Bolívar Park, and that the ICT Minister, Mauricio Lizcano, respectfully asked them to reconsider the offer, on Friday night, the District confirmed that there will be giant screens in this Park so that thousands of Bogotanos, starting at 4pm, can enjoy the meeting totally free.

However, in the statement issued, the Secretary of Government, Felipe Jiménez Ángel, stated that “the fans of Millonarios attend en masse to enjoy the Colombian soccer final in peace and with enthusiasm.”
After consulting the press of that Secretariat, they confirmed to PUBLIMETRO that indeed the Nacional fans will not be able to attend and, on the contrary, they were approved for four locations in the city -which were also there in the first leg- so that they can massively see the 90 minutes in commercial establishments.
Perdomo, Suba, Engativá and Kennedy, will be the areas that the same leaders of the ‘Verdolaga’ team asked the authorities to authorize them for the second time.
