SAN FRANCISCO — Michael Conforto hit a pair of two-run doubles, Patrick Bailey homered in starter Logan Webb’s third straight win and the San Francisco Giants beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-5 on Friday night.
The Diamondbacks are already tired from their long tour. They played three straight games in Milwaukee, then a pending game in Washington and crossed the country to the Bay Area.
Webb (7-6) gave up four runs, struck out five and walked two in his most recent gem. The Giants are 4-0 in their last four games and won for the 11th time in 12 games dating to June 11.
JD Davis tied the score at 4-4 with a fifth-inning double, costing Arizona right-hander Zach Davies (1-4) off the mound, who lost his third straight start.
Corbin Carroll drove in a run on a groundout that ended in out in the top of the fifth that had momentarily put Arizona ahead until Conforto returned to the plate.
