The director of the famous American movie “Titanic”, James Cameron, said that he predicted the fate of the submarine “Titan” of the “Ocean Gate” company, which went missing in the North Atlantic Ocean during a trip to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, days before the wreckage of the missing submarine was found.

All five people on board the submarine died in the vehicle’s catastrophic implosion.

Cameron told the BBC that he predicted the submarine’s fate days before the news was confirmed.

The British news agency, BA Media, quoted Cameron as saying, “I felt very strongly regarding what happened. When the submarine’s electronics fail and its communication system and the receiver and transmitter fail together, this means that the submarine is finished.

On Thursday, the director, passionate regarding exploring the seabed, denounced James Cameron for “ignoring warnings” regarding the safety of the tourist submarine.

Cameron, who dived repeatedly to explore the wreck in preparation for his 1997 film, which achieved great international success and won 11 Oscars, noted that the deep-sea exploration community had previously expressed great concern regarding this submarine.

The director, who loves diving, compared this new incident to the sinking of the Titanic itself in 1912, which killed 1,500 of its passengers. He said, “I was struck by the similarity with the (Titanic) disaster, whose captain repeatedly received warnings of the presence of ice in front of his ship, yet he set off at full speed in an ice field on a moonless night.”
