A 15-minute phone call was enough for a briefing
Vienna (OTS) – The questioning of City Councilor for Health Hacker in today’s U-Commission meeting is symbolic of the arrogance with which Vienna is governed. In the eyes of Hacker, it is completely understandable that City Councilor Hanke ‘on the sailing boat doesn’t feel like phoning for 2 hours regarding an act’. Hacker had called Hanke before signing the file on the first emergency competence, the conversation lasting between 10 and 15 minutes was enough for the unrelated hacker to sign.
“It is almost unbelievable how nonchalant taxpayers’ money is in Vienna. After all, 700 million euros are not nothing! It’s actually unbelievable that Hacker only needed a 15-minute conversation to realize the full implications! If you think back to how ignorant the mayor was when signing emergency powers twice, Hacker’s statement shouldn’t come as a surprise. According to his own statement, Ludwig only relied on the competence of his officials and only received a short briefing from his presidential boss. Any private company operating in this way would have gone bankrupt long ago and its managers fired for grossly negligent behavior. In Vienna, however, everything is normal,” said the parliamentary group leader of the Vienna FPÖ in the U-Commission, club chairman Maximilian Krauss.
