Improving Mental Health Treatment Hospital in Port Said: Ministry of Health’s Efforts

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population, recently inspected the Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Hospital in Port Said Governorate, following the completion of the first phase of renovation and efficiency work.

The Minister of Health refuses to accommodate the homeless in the psychiatric hospital in Port Said

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, refused to accommodate the homeless and homeless in the hospital following the end of their treatment period, and demanded that the hospital director quickly inform the Solidarity Directorate to take over the homeless and unidentified patients, in order to find an opportunity for other patients to be treated.

The minister’s decision came following the hospital directorate revealed that there are now regarding 47 homeless cases, which made the minister refuse to accommodate people in the hospital for several years, in order to uphold the role of medical facilities as places for treatment and health care.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, praised the level of medical facilities and devices, and his tour included critical and emergency care, the internal department, theaters, and green spaces, which are being equipped to treat addiction.

Al Shifa Medical Complex

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, conducted an inspection tour that included the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the new marine ward at Al-Salam International Hospital, during which he was accompanied by Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Head of the Health Care Authority, and Dr. Mostafa Shaaban, Head of the Health Care Authority branch in Port Said.
