“Asahi Shimbun” reported that Toyota will recall nearly 600,000 vehicles in Japan. Due to cracks in the lower arm of the shock absorber, it will affect driving stability. Yaris and Sienta are among the recalled ranks.

Toyota said that due to poor manufacturing, the lower arm of the front shock absorber has cracks, and driving on uneven roads will cause the cracks to expand. In the worst case, the lower arm may break and cause damage, which will affect driving stability.
No accidents have occurred so far, but 31 problems have occurred, 4 of which are related to driving stability. Toyota will replace the cracked parts.
Sienta produced between June 15, 2020 and May 8, 2023 are affected.
In total, 594,140 vehicles were affected, with 338,942 Yaris, 159,846 Aqua and 95,352 Sienta.
Whether the Sienta and Prius c (named Aqua in Japan) sold in Taiwan will be affected, because it is during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Hetai Automobile has not yet responded.
