Everyone against MFG: No COVID aid fund in Upper Austria

Once once more the true face of the Haimbuchner FPÖ is revealed:

Austria helps the whole world. Help on one’s own doorstep, on the other hand, has become a foreign word. It’s no wonder more and more people are disgusted with conventional politics.

LAbg. Dagmar Häusler, BSc., MFG-Austria Federal Party Chairman Deputy

The processing of the Corona measures is on everyone’s lips. The Lower Austrian state parliament recently decided to set up a COVID relief fund for the consequences of Corona. If MFG has its way, this positive development should also be followed in Upper Austria and measures taken to compensate for the damage caused by the pandemic and measures as best as possible. “We are asking the state of Upper Austria to set up a fund of 27.6 million euros over a period of two years. In particular, measures to compensate for negative effects in connection with corona measures are to be financed from this fund,” says State Deputy Dagmar Häusler, BSc., MFG-Austria Deputy Federal Party Chairman. But unlike in Lower Austria, there was not even approval from the FPÖ: “It’s a shame and once once more shows the true face of the FPÖ,” said Häusler.

Those affected would be helped with 27.6 million euros, and many effects might be at least partially alleviated or cushioned. The relief fund money should be used for the following points, among others:

for measures to compensate for expenses for medical care for people with medically confirmed vaccination impairments; to promote clubs that offer services that combat corona-related problems in children and young people; for children and young people to compensate for expenses in connection with the treatment of proven mental problems; for measures to heal medically confirmed illnesses as long-term consequences of corona measures or to support the healing; for measures to compensate for expenses for corona-related home or private tuition; for measures for children and young people to compensate for expenses in connection with necessary therapies; for Reimbursement of fines imposed under provisions subsequently overturned by the Constitutional Court.

But the entire ranks of the state parliament parties did not go along with it. Particularly shameful: the role of the FPÖ. Haimbuchner & Co. are once once more doing nothing, although their party colleagues in Lower Austria have long since done their job and those who have been vaccinated are receiving the support they are entitled to there. One wants to wait and see how things develop in Lower Austria, according to the FPOÖ at the relevant committee meeting. “This is a mockery for the many people affected, some of whom have been waiting for help and support for more than two years,” says LAbg Manuel Krautgartner, MFG-Upper Austria club chairman. MFG already has at the end of 2021 in Upper Austria. State parliament called for a COVID relief fund.

The FPÖ was even overtaken by the Greens: Ulrike Schwarz showed more understanding for the MFG application than Haimbuchner & CO. The MFG application was rejected by the Greens, but indirectly supported: treatments for the effects of vaccinations would already be taken over anyway, according to Schwarz. The Njet of the red health spokesman Peter Binder was not surprising: “Last year he called for 14 days in prison for unvaccinated people. “It’s not surprising that someone like that has no heart and no support for those injured by vaccination. Socially different”, says Manuel Krautgartner.

“Austria helps the whole world. Help on one’s own doorstep, on the other hand, has become a foreign word. It’s no wonder more and more people are disgusted with conventional politics.”

In principle, the rejection of the application for the introduction of a COVID aid fund for corona consequences of ALL parliamentary groups is one more reason that people are turning away from politics. “We’re staying tuned anyway, because we’re the only ones who have the well-being of the people in mind,” says MFG health spokeswoman Dagmar Häusler.
