A few minutes ago there was a strong explosion in a commercial premises, located at Carrera 70 with Calle 42 where, initially, a helium pipette explosion was reported to the single emergency line 123.
According to the Minuto30 reader report, the explosion occurred near the 70 sector in Medellín.
Through social networks, inhabitants of the area have published images and video that show the magnitude of the explosion.
Broken glass, damaged cars and several injured people who are treated by Medellin firefighters: these were some of the consequences of the explosion.
Preliminarily there are five people injured and some vehicles affected, announced the Mayor’s Office of Medellín.
Given the eventuality, the Medellin Mobility Secretariat reported that “closure is presented at Cr. 70 with Cl.42, due to a novelty on the road.” The transit authorities recommend taking alternate routes.
