The 59-year-old had been sentenced to 18 months in prison by later than Monday for fraud, making and using false documents in two cases.
In particular, she admitted having posed as her spouse’s aunt to be hired as a consultant at Desjardins through a partner of the company in personnel placement.
She had falsified Johanne Richer’s driver’s license to circumvent her own criminal history in order to find the job that allowed her to bill $500,000 in fees over two years.
Then, the fraudster had been hired by the Ministry of Culture and Communications under the alias Solane Greuier. The woman thus took advantage of this loophole to conclude two contracts with the ministry, one of which was false, leading to a $10,000 fraud.

Not welcome at Desjardins
The Court of Appeal agreed to hear Solange Crevier’s case on Thursday, setting the return of the case to court on November 24.
The woman was able to regain her freedom by then, but will have to submit to strict conditions.
The most unusual is certainly the one that prohibits Solange Crevier from “not being or going to the Caisses Populaires Desjardins de Québec or Lévis”.
The fraudster may also not have in her possession bank documents, “whether credit card, ATM card, check or bank draft” that are not made out to her name. The same goes for identification documents such as a driver’s license or social insurance card.
The public prosecutor did not oppose the release of the accused for the rest of the proceedings.
Solange Crevier had already been found guilty in the past of stealing computers from Bombardier and of fraud at VIA Rail, which were also her employers.
