Venezuelan horse racing is in mourning for the unfortunate physical departure of Miguel Carrillo, trainer of an outstanding runner and stallion from the 90s: Santón.

“Pipo” Carrillo, as he was known in the equestrian world, was a thoroughbred trainer who dedicated himself to the preparation of Santón, a great runner, son of Mount Delani in Congelada whose campaign was as follows: 11 victories, 2 seconds, 2 third, 3 fourth and 2 non-figurations on the scoreboard for a total of 20 public presentations, as can be seen on the portal anecdotashipicas.com

One of the most outstanding competitions in Santón presented by Carrillo was on June 3, 1990 in the Gaceta Hípica Magazine Cup driven by champion Juan Vicente Tovar in the Car oval. There the equine achieved victory five lengths ahead of French Angel.
