Kaolack, June 21 (APS) – The course of the examination for the Certificate of Completion of Elementary Studies (CFEE) and the entrance examination to sixth grade was “satisfactory” in the town of Kaolack (center), learned the APS of the education and training inspector (IEF) Souleymane Diop.

“Everywhere the examination is proceeding normally. We have just finished visiting a few centers and the findings are, for the moment, satisfactory. We found the candidates on the spot and we noted a very satisfactory attendance rate, ”noted Mr. Diop.

The IEF of Kaolack, in the company of the territorial authorities and representatives of the Union of School Management Committees (UCGE), among other education stakeholders, proceeded to the traditional visit of some examination centers in the territory. communal.

The president of the Union of School Management Committees les Mamour Gueye did not fail to magnify the involvement of the academic authorities and the teachers “thanks to whom we have seen a smooth running of the tests”.

For this year, the IEF of Kaolack presented five candidates living with a handicap to the CFEE, announced Souleymane Diop. A “special device” has been put in place to allow them to compose under the same conditions as their able-bodied comrades, welcomed Souleymane Diop.

“We are one of the academies that are experimenting with taking care of this category. So there is a special device for them during the school year and during the exam. And they compose in the same way as the others. They have the same chances”, underlined the IEF of Kaolack.

The difference is that these students living with a visual disability write in Braille made possible by a specific device set up for decryption and correction, explained Souleymane Diop.

“No favors are granted to them. If they succeed, they succeed through personal merit,” he added.

For this year, the municipality of Kaolack presents 5,424 candidates including 3,177 girls and 2,247 boys in 38 centers.

The Education and Training Inspector of the Kaolack department argued that his academic district plans to obtain a success rate of 80% because “our ambitions are revised upwards”.
