SalamAir, the first and fastest growing low-cost airline in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the signing of a letter of intent to lease three Airbus A330neo aircraft from Avalon, the global aircraft leasing company, during the Paris Airshow 2023. The first delivery is expected to take place in May. October 2023.
The three new wide-body Airbus A330neo aircraft will provide many advantages aimed at enhancing SalamAir’s services, as well as supporting its ambitious plans to expand its fleet and network.
These modern aircraft, which are distributed in two classes, also include 365 economy class seats and 12 business class premium seats, which enhances passenger comfort and capacity to accommodate them, and the A330neo aircraft provides the possibility of increasing the company’s ability to fly longer distances compared to its current fleet.
The A330neo features enhanced fuel efficiency, resulting in lower CO2 emissions when compared to previous generation aircraft, in line with the airline’s environmental targets. It also contributes to reducing the operating costs of the airline.
