Dr. Ahmed Shawky, a banking expert, confirmed that the meeting of the Central Bank to discuss the fate of the interest rate will be held tomorrow, Thursday, and that this meeting came at the end of the fiscal year.
The banking expert added, during a telephone interview on the “Tahrir Hall” program broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, presented by the media, Azza Mustafa, that 42% has been reached for inflation, and there is a rise in inflation.
He pointed out that the current inflation is not caused by demand, but by the rise in prices, and that with raising interest rates, inflation continues to rise and does not decrease.
He indicated that he believes that the Central Bank will take a decision to “fix interest rates,” because raising interest rates will not result in anything at this time, and that raising the interest rate at this time will have an impact on companies.
