Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova advanced to the second round of the WTA tournament in Berlin.

In the first match, the 26-year-old Russian beat Chinese Zheng Qinwen, the 25th racket of the world, with a score of 6:4, 6:2.

Her next opponent will be the Belarusian Arina Sobolenko, who ranks second in the WTA rankings.
