Morocco was elected, Wednesday in Rabat, member of the new Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information for the next two years, and this, at the end of the 35th meeting of the Council, chaired by the Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was elected as chair of the new executive board, Egypt as vice-chair, while Kuwait, Bahrain, Libya, Palestine and Algeria were elected as members.

It was decided that the next (18th) session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information will take place in January 2024 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, only following the holding of the 100th session of the Standing Committee of Arab media.

The agenda of this meeting included the presentation and evaluation of the progress made in the implementation of the decisions of the 52nd session of the Council, held in Cairo, in the light of the intensive meetings held at the level of the structures of the Council. , committees and working groups inside and outside the country where the headquarters is located.

It also included the continuation of media support for the Palestinian cause, notably in occupied Al-Quds, and the follow-up of the Arab media action plan abroad, including the observatory project and that of the integrated platform.

In addition, the ministerial meeting was an opportunity to discuss the modernization of the Arab media strategy and the development of its execution plan, the implementation of the objectives of the Arab media plan for sustainable development 2030, from the integration of media education into school curricula, specialized environmental media and the development of a unified strategy to deal with multinational media companies.
