Within the framework of the X International Scientific Congress of the Dr. Jesús Weir Medina Faculty of Medicine and the XXI Multidisciplinary Scientific Congress of the Dr. Nelly Petit de Molero Academy of Medicine of Zulia, the walk that will form part of the representative interdisciplinary complementary programming of the University of Zulia.
This Tuesday, June 20, at the Villa Deportiva del Zulia Arquímedes Herrera, the press conference of the sports activity was held, supported by the @gobernaciondelzulia through the Regional Sports Secretariat and the Regional Sports Institute.
The informative event was chaired by the regional secretary for Sports, Alexánder Delgado, accompanied by Dr. Arturo Moreno, deputy director of Irdez, and the technical director, Francisco Riera; Likewise, LUZ was represented by the dean in charge of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Jorymar Leal, accompanied by the president of the event’s organizing committee, Dr. Felipe Díaz, and Jimmy Vidal, promoter of the walk.
It was reported that the pre-congress walk will have an extension of seven kilometers and will start from the new rectory of the University of Zulia, where the attendance of the participants is expected at 6:30 in the morning to start the tour at 7 am.
The route will be through Cecilio Acosta to Delicias avenue, then through 77 / 5 de Julio street, where the intermediate point will be in La República square, designed for the elderly and with physical disabilities. From there, take El Milagro avenue until you arrive at Vereda del Lago, where the Irdez medical service will be to attend to whoever needs it.
The activity will be open to the entire community of Maracaibo and surrounding municipalities, it will have five hydration points in addition to the mobile, and security by Polimaracaibo and the Maracaibo Fire Department.
The invitation is for the whole family to join the emblematic and free activity, with the aim of raising awareness among the population regarding the development of physical activity for health.
