The suicide of Korean singer Choi Song shocked his fans, and Seoul police said on Wednesday that Choi Song Bong died by suicide at the age of 33.
Korean singer Choi Sung committed suicide following police found the singer dead at his home in Yeoksam-dong district in southern Seoul at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, the Korea Times reported.

He also later published a best-selling memoir regarding his journey from poor youth to internet fame.
However, in 2021, his career took a dark turn following he ran a fundraiser saying he was fighting several forms of cancer and needed money for treatment.
It was later revealed that it was a ruse, as the singer admitted his mistakes and promised to return the donations he received.
Choi Sang-bong’s career took a downturn following he resorted to fundraising in 2021 under the false pretense that he had been diagnosed with cancer, and it was later revealed that he was not suffering from any disease.
In his note, Choi apologized for his mistake and said he had returned all donations.
Choi Sang-bong came from a poor background and had to drop out of music school due to lack of funds to pay tuition fees.
He worked for several years as a laborer and got his breakthrough in 2011 through Korea’s Got Talent.
