PARIS: Air India has announced that it has confirmed an order for 250 Airbus aircraft, and has approved a new Airbus maintenance and digital solutions package, as per the letter of intent it signed in February 2023, in a move that supports its digital transformation and growth strategy.
The agreement covers 140 A320neo and 70 A321neo single-aisle aircraft, as well as 34 A350-1000 and six A350-900 wide-body aircraft.
Air India will benefit from integrated solutions from Satyr, a subsidiary of Airbus, to ensure the highest levels of readiness for its fleet, as the maintenance solution supported by Airbus provides all parts and parts that can be recycled and consumable when required, and automatic stock replenishment services.
As part of its journey towards transformation and digitization, Air India will be the first customer of the Skywise Core X3 system, which is Airbus’s latest and most advanced flight analytics platform, reflecting the solid relationship between the two companies.
