European stock markets open lower

European stock markets opened in the red on Wednesday, dominated by caution before the hearing of Jerome Powell, chairman of the powerful US Federal Reserve, before Congress, but also dragged down by the weakness of the Chinese economy. The Paris Stock Exchange opened down 0.27% and Frankfurt 0.17%. The London Stock Exchange dropped 0.63% following the publication of inflation figures in the United Kingdom, more tenacious than expected by analysts.
