Facebook/Instagram seal arrives in Brazil in testing phase

Meta also stated that there will be no changes to Instagram and Facebook accounts that have been previously verified.

Long term, we want to create a subscription option for everyone, including creators, businesses, and our community at large. As part of that goal, we’re enhancing the meaning of verified accounts in our apps so that we can expand access to verification and more people can trust that the accounts they interact with are genuine.

They also clarified that to be eligible, accounts must “meet minimum activity requirements such as previous posting history and a minimum age of 18.”
