Zurich (awp) – The Neuchâtel real estate fund Bonhôte Immobilier recorded an increase in its rental income in 2022/23. Overall, rental income increased by 6% to 62.3 million Swiss francs in the year to the end of March.
Net operating income was 25.0 (24.8) million Swiss francs, according to the annual report released Tuesday evening by the company listed on SIX. The dividend will be increased by 4 cents to 3.25 Swiss francs per share.
The financial year under review was marked by the sudden rise in interest rates. The period of negative rates is over, but so far the real estate market has hardly reacted to this new situation. The volume of transactions fell and the effects on prices remained marginal.
Rate increases are passed on over a long period of time. The effects are gradually being felt in terms of refinancing and a decline in demand for all products and services. Under these circumstances, we might witness a cyclical weakening and the end of the positive cycle of recent years.
