The NFL has announced the designated home teams for the 2023 international games. German fans can be especially happy: They get two games with the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots as “hosts”.
The NFL made it official. In 2023, two games in one season will be played on German soil for the first time. The home teams are the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. Where and when the games will take place will be announced later, and the respective opponents have not yet been determined.
The league follows on from the successful German premiere last November: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers played the Seattle Seahawks in Munich’s Allianz Arena.
Four games in four years on German soil in Munich and Frankfurt were already confirmed in 2022, but Commissioner Roger Goodell had already indicated an increase to two games per season in the run-up to the premiere in Munich.

We are unbeaten in three international games to date, thanks in part to the outstanding support from our fans. “We know some of our most passionate fans live in Germany and we’re excited to finally play a game there.
