A popular actor is leaving the ZDF cult series “Notruf Hafen Kante” following a long time. He wants to devote himself to new projects, the TV fans are sad.
Dortmund – shock for the fans of the popular ZDF series “Notruf Hafen Kante”! Actor Harald Maack (67) will leave the successful crime series following 17 years. Loyal viewers don’t even know the series without him. The actor was part of the team from the very beginning, apart from episode one.

Harald Maack himself announced his departure on his Instagram page. In addition, the actor posted a selfie of himself on Saturday (May 13) in front of the filming location of the series in the port of Hamburg. “After 17 years as ‘Wolle’ I decided to retire this character,” he writes regarding his role as police chief inspector Jörn Wollenberger.
According to his own statements, Harald Maack played in 450 episodes of “Notruf Hafen Kante”. In his character as Jörn “Wolle” Wollenberger, the 67-year-old was considered the “good soul” of the police station in the ZDF crime series. The fans are now all the sadder regarding Harald Maack’s departure.

Another comment reads “Harbor edge without wool? Actually unimaginable. ”For ZDF viewers, the message seems to be difficult to digest. Another cult thriller is currently celebrating a comeback on ZDF.

Because even if the future does not lie with the ZDF series from Hamburg: Harald Maack will not stop acting completely. He promised that himself in his Instagram post: “Hopefully we’ll see each other in other roles for a long time to come, because I’m only carefully but firmly closing one door, but I’m opening another with fresh courage (…).”

Fans of “Notruf Hafen Kante” will still miss their “Wolle” for sure. He also thanked all loyal viewers and his fellow actors on Instagram. “Without you, ‘Wolle’ would not be what it has become,” writes Harald Maack.
How T-Online reported, his last day of shooting will be on June 8th. It is not yet clear when the new episodes recorded by then will be shown on TV. One thing is clear: it will be the last with “wool”. Another ZDF thriller even lost two main actors this year following a long time.
