Wallonia and Brussels are going to develop the experiences of territories with zero long-term unemployment, drawing inspiration from the French example. The federal government will support these projects by activating unemployment benefits and social benefits. Under the gaze of the HLM towers in the Oliveaux district, the half-cylinder greenhouse has recently housed the seedlings that the Fabrique de l’Emploi sells to the inhabitants of the district and to the region’s nurserymen, when it does not use them for its market gardening activity. This activity is the latest branch born of the Territory zero long-term unemployed project developed in Loos, in the Lille suburbs. A well-established French experience – France now has nearly 60 “TZCLDs” – that the Federal Minister of Employment, Pierre-Yves Dermagne (PS), came to discover on Monday.
