Once won the Sixth Man of the Year three times, Lou Williams announced his retirement, ending his 17-year NBA career.

The 36-year-old Lou Williams won the sixth man of the year in 2015, 2018, and 2019. He is tied for the NBA’s first place with Jamal Crawford. He only started 122 of the 1,123 games in the NBA. He came off the bench to score 13396 points, setting an NBA record, and 2117 points more than Jamal Crawford.

Lou Williams averaged 13.9 points and 3.4 assists per game. He played for 6 teams, including Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, etc. His last game in the NBA was last April with the Hawks.

Lou Williams was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 45th overall pick in the second round of 2005. He is the second highest scorer among players who joined the NBA following graduating from high school, second only to Chris Paul.

Lou Williams scored 15,593 points in his 17-year NBA career, ranking 131st in history.
