Election of the new presidency, program “Justice now! Solidarity forever!” Speech by SPÖ party leader Andreas Babler
Vienna (OTS) – The federal faction conference of the faction of social democratic trade unionists (FSG) in the ÖGB takes place under the motto “Justice now! Solidarity forever!” will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to around 3 p.m. in the Austria Center Vienna.
The FSG conference is all regarding shorter working hours, more distributive justice, more social security, more protective laws, more co-determination and an affordable life.
After the vote on the work program 2023-2028, the FSG Presidium will be re-elected. The previous FSG chairman Rainer Wimmer (union PRO-GE) is no longer a candidate. Josef Muchitsch, federal chairman of the trade union Bau-Holz (GBH), faces the election as FSG chairman.
Agenda or planned procedure:
9 am: Opening and welcome with FSG chairman Rainer Wimmer, FSG federal manager Willi Mernyi, greetings from AK President Renate Anderl, among others, followed by reports and applications as well as elections.
1:30 p.m.: Speech by SPÖ party leader Andreas Babler, followed by announcement of the election results and final statement by the newly elected parliamentary group leader.
