The apprentice, an asset for the company

Finding future recruits for your company is not always easy. It takes time and knowledge that not everyone has. Apprenticeship thus offers craftsmen the opportunity to take advantage of the fresh breath brought by young people. Because an apprentice trained in new technologies and digital technology, open to the world and to other skills, is undeniably an asset for today’s craft business. To find the right person, the advisers of the University of CMA Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur advise companies at all stages, from recruitment to contract management for apprentices trained on its eight campuses.

Supporting craftsmen to find the ideal apprentice

Transmitting their know-how, getting involved in the future of their profession or calmly preparing for the takeover of their business are the main motivations of craftsmen looking for apprentices. To put the odds on its side by recruiting young people who perfectly match their needs, the CMA supports craftsmen in defining the profile that best meets their expectations, the situation of their business and the economic environment linked to their profession. . The objective is thus to create a true partnership relationship between the apprentice, the business manager and the CFA.

Beyond the technical training provided at its 8 campuses (Avignon, Digne-les-Bains, Gap, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Le Beausset, Les Arcs, Saint-Maximin and Saint-Laurent-du-Var), offering a selection of suitable candidates, advising craftsmen to recruit and integrate their apprentices is an integral part of the missions of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Anchored in the reality of the employment needs of companies and territories, the teachers of the campuses of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur provide innovative pedagogy thanks to the integration of digital and a follow-up personalized learners to guarantee them the best employability. Thus, with 9 sectors of excellence and 120 diplomas from CAP to Bac+5, they train more than 6,000 young people on work-study programs each year, with more than 5,000 partner companies. A winning triptych, supported by financial aid set up to enhance the attractiveness of apprenticeship and encourage employers to recruit an apprentice.

Financial aid for artisans

To maintain the apprenticeship dynamic, the government has introduced financial assistance for hiring apprentices. For contracts signed up to December 31, 2023, a fixed aid of €6,000 is paid to companies for hiring an apprentice preparing for a diploma up to a master’s degree (bac + 5 – level 7 of the RNCP), whatever whatever his age, for the first year of performance of the contract.
