In a chilling scene discovered this weekend in the Ciudadela neighborhood of the city of Córdoba, police officers encountered a disturbing situation. Upon entering a home on Doctor José Pizarro street, they found a 67-year-old woman with head injuries and dog bites on her feet. Inside the same house, they discovered the lifeless body of a 72-year-old man.
The fatal victim was a partner of the injured woman, who was quickly transferred to the Mercy Hospital, from where they reported that she is out of danger. The case was placed under the jurisdiction of the 1st Shift Gender and Family Violence Prosecutor’s Office.
The prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Pablo Camacho, pointed out that the initial hypothesis suggests a case of domestic violence, in which it is presumed that the man assaulted the woman before her death. Although the deceased did not show visible signs of violence in his body, it is suspected that he may have suffered a cardiac arrest, since he was cyanotic. However, so far no autopsy has been carried out to confirm this assumption.
The affected woman was not charged in relation to the events that occurred and is under the care and protection of her relatives, while the authorities continue to investigate this tragic event.
