Three huts and garden torched during flame work in Flachau

The man accidentally set fire to the thuja hedge. Due to drought and wind, the fire spread to the garden shed, then to a workshop and a nearby chicken coop, the police reported in a press release.

The 44-year-old quickly had to give up trying to extinguish the fire immediately with a hand-held fire extinguisher. In the end, the Flachau fire brigade called to help fight the flames with 45 emergency services and seven vehicles.
