First Bundestag of the ÖHGB in Burgenland
Vienna (OTS) – The motto of the Bundestag this year was “Facts regarding property – no ideologies!” and dealt with the future of house and land ownership.
ÖHGB President RA Dr. Martin Prunbauer: “According to the OECD, Austria is one of the most strictly regulated countries in the world when it comes to tenancy law. Any form of government intervention aimed at regulating rent overrides market mechanisms and promotes an artificial shortage of living space. Regulations that those who are willing , accepting responsibility, not allowing profits, prevent necessary investments and endanger private property. Any form of taxation of assets is counterproductive and endangers small and medium-sized businesses. Property is a basic requirement for a free, democratic society. We will continue to fight for this in the future!”
