The Emirati club Al-Wahda announced, on Saturday, that it had signed a contract with South African coach Pitso Musimane to take over the leadership of the team, starting from next season.
Al-Wehda Football Club published a statement on its official account on Twitter, in which it indicated, “The completion of the contracting procedures with Mr. Pesto Musimani from South Africa, in order to lead the first team technically.”
The club’s board of directors welcomed Musimani to the Emirati club, which is called the “Home of Champions”, wishing him success in meeting the aspirations of the club’s leadership and management, and its fans.
It is noteworthy that Al-Wehda had finished the UAE League in third place last season.
And Thursday, Musimani officially announced his departure from the Saudi Al-Ahly Jeddah training, following he led him to return to the Saudi Professional League, “Roshen”.
Musimani published a statement on Twitter, saying, “With the termination of my relationship with the Saudi Al-Ahly club, I am looking forward to a new experience. I express my great happiness at accomplishing the difficult task of returning the team to the professional league within 8 months. We not only qualified, but also won the First Division title.”
He added, “We would not have achieved this achievement without the players who played with their hearts. Thank you for the continuous support of Al-Ahly fans, and your presence in the stands in the home and away matches was the best motivation. I wish the team continued success in its next endeavors.”
Musimani moved to coach Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia at the beginning of last season, following his departure from training the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, with which he achieved a number of championships.
