The second Burger King in Aveyron is coming, the opening is scheduled for the end of the year.

Three years following the establishment of the first Burger King restaurant in Aveyron, in Rodez, the American brand will double the bet. The opening is expected around the beginning of December in place of part of the parking lot of the Leclerc center in Onet-le-Château, at the Estreniol commercial centre. The start of work should not be long, according to director Laurent Segade. “We will be at the entrance, just opposite the gas station. We are going to remove parking spaces, but it is a space that was very rarely full”.

Just like in the first Ruthenian restaurant, regarding fifty employees will run the establishment. “There is a recruitment in three stages, the first has already started to have time to train managers. The other phases should continue in September and especially in October. There, we will be open to students for part-time positions This latest round of recruiting will be the biggest.”

“There was a big demand”

When it opened in 2021, “there was a big demand” in Rodez, explains Laurent Segade, even if the first Burger King was only able to welcome its customers in April while the Covid-19 epidemic was still on. worrying. “We closed at 7 p.m., so it was a bit complicated at first. But we were very well received, and from one year to the next we gained market share”.

A few months later, Laurent Segade was also in charge of the management of the first Burger King which opened in Lozère, in Mende. “We never had a problem or dissatisfaction when we arrived. Already, because we are located in areas where there are not many residents, so we cause little inconvenience. And we are well received because it represents a lot of jobs. It is always important”. With the three restaurants combined, the two Aveyronnais and the Lozère establishment, this will represent around 120 employees.

Burger King has made a name for itself in the local landscape by partnering with ROC Aveyron Handball and Rodez Rugby. When it arrives in front of the Leclerc center, the other brands in the commercial area will receive “coats of arms” to obtain reductions when ordering, via the restaurant application.

Towards the 500 restaurants in France

With this new establishment in Onet-le-Château, the number of Burger Kings is approaching a little more than 500 in France. It is part of the American brand’s networking ambitions which have continued to grow in recent years. And the clientele seems to be there.

Laurent Segade notably highlights ranges of “gourmet” burgers and meat cooked in wood “that other brands do not offer”. Since Monday, June 12, Burger King has, for example, benefited from three creations signed Michel Sarran, the starred chef from Toulouse and former juror of the show “Top Chef”.
