In other words, calcium concentrations above the standard level lead to a decrease in muscle function, which can increase the risk of falls.

The problem is that high-dose vitamin D administration is being abused by the general public because hospitals and clinics have set the normal level of vitamin D in the blood too high. The normal concentration of vitamin D set by hospitals and clinics is 20 to 30 ng/ml. According to this, only the top 2.5% of people with a normal number by that standard.
