The Crown series will return to Netflix and present an interesting story from the British Royal family. This time, one of the highlights is Prince Harry and his biggest mistake shown in the final season of the series.
In season 6, they will show the scandal of the Nazi costume that the father of two used. Reporting from People, the incident occurred in 2005 at which time Harry was still 20 years old and came to a costume party wearing a Nazi costume complete with his swastika.
Harry immediately made a statement following his photos went viral and were widely discussed in the media.
“I apologize for offending and embarrassing people. It was a bad costume choice and I’m sorry,” he said at the time.
This incident was previously discussed in the Harry & Meghan documentary which will also be broadcast on Netflix in 2022. At that time he admitted that it was his biggest mistake in life and he is still ashamed to this day.
He also claimed to have spoken with survivors of the Holocaust tragedy in Berlin and the chief rabbi (Jewish spiritual teacher) in London.
“I might just ignore it and maybe make the same mistake over and over once more in my life. But I learned from it,” said Harry.
In his memoir, Spare, Harry revealed that the clothing idea came from Prince William and Kate Middleton. The two of them gave him the idea to wear a Nazi costume at the party.
“I called Willy (William) and Kate, asking what they thought. Nazi uniforms, they said,” wrote Harry.
“I also rented the costume plus the strange mustache and returned home. I tried on the costume. Both (William and Kate) laughed out loud. Worse than Willy’s ballet dress! Much funnier!” he added.
In season 6 of The Crown they will show the tragedy of the death of Princess Diana, the youth of William (Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy) as students and also the incident of Prince Harry’s Nazi costume (Luther Ford). Until now there has been no further information regarding the broadcast schedule of The Crown season 6.
