Conner Rousseau took everyone by surprise. In a very polished video, on a delicate musical carpet, the young president of the Flemish socialists confides in a very intimate way for almost a quarter of an hour to a journalist regarding his sexual orientation. “I’m not totally straight. It’s something everyone likes to speculate on, something I’ve been struggling with for two or three years. I struggle with my orientation. We’re in fucking 2023 and it’s no longer an issue. But it’s something that, personally, weighs heavily on me. I don’t know what I am yet, but I like both. If you had asked me five years ago, I wouldn’t have said so and we’ll see how it evolves. »
