The Polish studio, author of Bullet Storm and Outriders, has just signed with Microsoft for a triple-A game.
If Microsoft produces most of its exclusives internally, it is not uncommon for the publisher to delegate work to external studios. The Polish studio People Can Fly had already collaborated with the American giant on the spin-off of the Gears of War series, “Judgment”.
On its website, People Can Fly confirms a new collaboration for an exclusive triple-A game whose budget is estimated at between 30 and 50 million dollars.
The deal provides that the studio will work on a title licensed by Microsoft. If all eyes are on Gears of War, People Can Fly might very well have been hired for another project. Microsoft has a large catalog of licenses. People Can Fly might thus have been licensed by Bethesda like Doom, Quake or Wolfenstein.
One thing is certain: you will have to be patient to discover this new project. Triple-A games typically take 3-5 years to see the light of day.
