“Iran and Cuba are among the pioneers of the development of regional convergence that can provide the opportunity for a reciprocal presence in coalitions formed on both sides of the globe. The focus of cooperation is in the fields of biotechnology, technology, medicine and energy” , published the Iranian foreign minister on his Twitter account.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla tweeted that this visit “will allow us to continue strengthening bilateral relations, close to celebrating their 44th anniversary, and boost ties in sectors of common interest.”
During the stay of the Iranian president in Managua three memorandums of understanding were signed: on the creation of a mixed intergovernmental commission for economic, commercial cooperation and scientific-technical exchange between Iran and Nicaragua; on cooperation in the legal and judicial field; and on the supply of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and consumables.
Previously, 25 cooperation agreements were sealed in Caracas, particularly to promote cooperation between Iran and Venezuela in the areas of communications and information technology, livestock, maritime transport, insurance, petrochemicals, mining, medicine and technological innovation.
