Across the length of the bar, the hours pass unnoticed. Walls, furniture and decor complement each other in colors, prints, natural elements and shapes, bringing out memories and intense sensations.
The Sunset Loft Bar project, developed by the Blanc Arquitetura office, goes once morest the grain of what is commonly found in the market. The idea, says director and architect Vanessa Schmidt, is precisely to show that the use of color brings movement to spaces, brings meaning and personality. “We noticed a trend in the use of more neutral palettes, with a lot of white, beige, sand, gray. That’s why this idea is a little more daring. The color came in a very charged and strong way, to show all the sensations it can cause”, she explains.
The idea, she points out, was to design a space that was not commercial. On the contrary: that people might enter and reflect on the absence of monochromatic environments. “We were inspired by the warmth of warm colors, contrasts and organic shapes, with a dash of boldness in the prints. It is like a fashion show: we know that what we develop will not be used in its entirety, with all this power, but it will serve as inspiration, cause emotions and will be remembered for being so different”, she guarantees.
On the floor, the balance point
As a counterpoint to the color contrast, Scent Canela, vinyl flooring by Eliane Floor, covers the floor of the lotf. Emerging as a point of balance and neutrality within the project, the dark and traditional woody highlights the simplicity of everyday life, without giving up design and innovation. “We wanted to neutralize some specific points in the loft, and the floor was one of them. In addition, the ease of installation of the cladding, without causing unevenness in the environment, completely won us over”, says Vanessa.
The loft consists of a large bar and a large island. All of this, integrated into a living area, kitchen and bedroom, is set up in an architecture and decoration show. Within what was imagined, the project achieved – and surpassed! – office expectations. “We achieved the visual impact we had in mind. I understand that decoration shows like this one have the mission of awakening feelings and launching trends. And within what we imagined, we managed to compose the space in the best possible way”, he adds.
