A change occurs at the head of Logitech. In office since 2013, the general manager of the Valdo-Californian manufacturer of computer accessories and peripherals, Bracken Darrell, resigns with immediate effect. Administrator Guy Gecht assumes the interim.

Logitech administrator since 2019, Guy Gecht will serve as general manager until a successor to Bracken Darrell is found, the company said on Tuesday evening. Bracken Darrell is stepping down to take on other duties outside of the band. However, he will remain available for another month to ensure the transition with his successor ad interim.

Quoted in the statement, Board Chair Wendy Becker thanked Bracken Darrell for his commitment to the company he led through a period of steady growth. Contacted, a spokesperson for Logitech did not wish to comment in more detail on the reasons for the sudden departure of Bracken Darrell, noting that the general manager himself asked to leave the company founded more than forty years ago.

Roots in the United States

The search for Bracken Darrell’s successor will be done on a global level, which is consistent for a group that is not only anchored in French-speaking Switzerland, but also has deep roots in the United States.

As for the interim boss, Guy Gecht is the former founder and co-CEO of E.Merge Technology Acquisition Corp. Prior to the founding of this company in June 2020, he led Electronics for Imaging. He is currently also a member of the Board of Directors of Check Point Software Technology.
