Jef Colruyt will step down as CEO of the retail group of the same name as of July 1. Stefan Goethaert, Chief Operating Officer, will succeed him. “After 10 years with the group, he (Stefan Goethaert) has the necessary background and in-depth knowledge of the different activities that will enable him to continue to define and execute Colruyt Group’s strategy in a changing retail market. “explains Jef Colruyt, quoted in the press release.
Stefan Goethaert has worked for Colruyt since 2012. Since April last year, he has been responsible for the food production and trade departments as director of operations.
Jef Colruyt remains Chairman of the Board of Directors.
